Update your sign in before 18 October 2024 to stay connected to NDIS services.
On 18 October 2024, MyGov and NDIS are switching off the secret question option to access our NDIS portals and app.
If you don't update your sign in option by 18 October 2024 you won't be able to access your NDIS portal or app.
You can choose one of the following sign in options:
• a code by SMS
• a passkey
• Digital ID
• a code from the myGov Code Generator app
The following steps are for website settings. For myGov app steps, go to my.gov.au/app.
Update to a code by SMS
1. Sign in to your myGov account
2. Go to My account
3. Select Account settings
4. Select Manage at the 2 factor authentication
5. Enter your myGov password and select Next
6. Select Get a code by SMS
7. Select Continue.
Create a passkey or sign in with your Digital ID
1. Sign in to your myGov account
2. Go to My account
3. Select Account settings
4. Select Connect to create a Digital ID or Manage to create a passkey
5. Follow the steps to setup your Digital ID or passkeys.

Set up the myGov Code Generator app
1. Install the app on your device
2. Follow the steps to change your 2 factor authentication option.
